#ThrowbackThursday To Dan + Shay's First Nissan Stadium Performance at Country Music Association (CMA) Festival in Nashville

Imagine being part of the lineup at the Country Music Association (CMA) Festival in Nashville. Prior to 2018, the duo had been on the performance schedule, playing in the afternoon multiple times for fans from all of the world at city venues like the Chevy Riverfront Stage.

 Now, take it one step further and imagine being invited to play some of your songs for thousands of country music fans at the festival's iconic nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium, which in years past have featured superstar headliners including Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, and Luke Bryan.

Dan + Shay received the opportunity to play a set at Nissan Stadium, the festival's largest venue, on Thursday June 7, 2018. The duo performed a slew of their biggest hits to a sold-out crowd of screaming fans that night, including their newest hit "Tequila", which was getting close to hitting number one on the country music radio chart at the time. This performance was aired on ABC during the CMA Fest television special on August 8, 2018.

On Sunday June 10, 2018, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney took to their Instagram account and posted an incredible picture of the electric crowd that were there to witness their high energy, electric performances that night with the caption, "We've always dreamed of this."
