#FlashbackFriday To 2023 When Dan + Shay Announced Their Fifth Studio Album "Bigger Houses" On Social Media

While I continue to patiently wait for Dan + Shay to release the first batch of their highly anticipated new music (Now I am thinking they will start to reveal the news next week or for sure in February!), let's travel back to July 13, 2023 when the duo officially announced that their fifth studio album was titled "Bigger Houses" and would be available for pre-order the next day.

If fans pre-ordered the album, they got to hear the new single "Save Me The Trouble", but also the title track "Bigger Houses" and "Heartbreak On The Map". I thought I was only going to get to hear one song, but getting to listen to three on repeat was a huge treat while waiting to hear more tracks that would be released in the coming months.

I also loved the album cover artwork that features Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney sitting on a miniature house that was built for the shoot, music video, and to take on the road with them on their 2024 Heartbreak On The Map Tour. To this day, I truly appreciate every single lyric from the song "Bigger Houses".

If you read my post from last Friday, I wrote about what my initial thoughts were when I saw the title of "We Should Get Married", a track from this project. However when I heard the song for the first time, my thoughts were not exactly correct. When I saw the track listing for the entire album on July 14, 2023, I pondered about what I thought the remainder of the album's songs would be about. The other titles did not give too much away like "We Should Get Married", so when "For The Both Of Us" and "Always Gonna Be" were released prior to album coming out, as well as the other five unreleased tracks that I heard for the first time on September 15, I was able to listen to them all with a fresh mind and ears, not having any prior assumptions for what they were about.

I can say that Dan + Shay have always had a knack for picking the perfect title for their albums. Each one captures what they had to say from start to finish on their first five studio projects. Ever since the duo announced on social media last October that new music would be coming in 2026, I have been wondering what the new album title will be, what the album cover art will look like, and what they came up with for the song titles! I cannot wait to find out this information soon and be able to reveal it to all of my readers! My excitement is through the roof and will be even more so when the duo make an official announcement! 😁
