Daily Dash Of Dan + Shay: Dan + Shay Commemorate Six Years Of Hit "10,000 Hours" With A Social Media Reel And Caption

Yesterday was six years to the day that Dan + Shay released "10,000 Hours" out into the world, their massive collaboration with global superstar Justin Bieber. The duo posted a reel with scenes of the guys and their respective wives and Bieber and his wife from the song's official music video to their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Underneath the video, the duo thanked the fans for all of their support on the number one tune in a caption. "Today is the 6 year anniversary of 10,000 HOURS!," Dan + Shay started. In case you were wondering (you probably weren't), that's 52,560 hours. Thank you for continuing to show this song so much love. Give it a stream (or 10) to celebrate!"

Their fans went crazy on social media when the duo posted teasers on social media and that craziness ensued once it was released, and still up to this day. According to a release by Warner Music Nashville, the duo's record label, as of December 15, 2023, "10,000 Hours" crossed the one billion stream mark on Spotify. In that release, Dan Smyers talked about what the incredible milestone meant to him.

"A billion is a difficult number to comprehend in general, but to know that one song has been streamed over a billion times on a single platform is just incredible," Smyers told Warner Music Nashville. "We're grateful for everyone who had a hand in creating "10,000 Hours", and everyone who took the time to listen. Here's to a billion more!"
