#ThrowbackThursday to when Dan + Shay won their first shiny Grammy Award for their major breakthrough hit "Tequila" on February 10, 2019. Lead vocalist Shay Mooney shared a collage of pictures on his Instagram post along with a genuine, humble caption on February 12. In the first photo above the caption, his musical partner Dan Smyers is smiling while holding the Gramophone Award and Mooney is pointing at it while grinning at the camera.
"So unbelievably thankful for this night and all these people, " Mooney began the caption. "We won a freaking GRAMMY 😳🤯 Still can’t believe it.”
He ended it by thanking all of his fans and other supporters.
"Thank you all so much for the love and support over the years. We'll never take it for granted ❤️”
The second picture features Dan + Shay alongside their wives and team members posing on the red carpet.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney have accomplished so much more since this moment in 2019 and I could not be more proud of them. The best is still yet to come from the incredible country music duo!
