Dan + Shay Perform "Bigger Houses" On Top Of A Tiny House On "Heartbreak On The Map" Tour

Flashback Friday to when Dan + Shay performed at Van Andel Arena on their Heartbreak On The Map Tour on March 14, 2024. When they got to "Bigger Houses", I knew the duo would bring the tiny house onstage that is featured on the Bigger Houses album cover and in the music video for their 11th number one song. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney had their crew build a special one for the tour.

As part of the encore, Smyers and Mooney started off the three song set with "Bigger Houses". The duo performed the tune sitting on the top of the porch of the house. They sounded even better to me singing the song live than on the album. That is how talented they are! I loved this slowed-down moment toward the end of the concert. I was able to soak in hearing their voices, the scene onstage, and the crowd singing back the words to them at the end of the song. You can hear my voice at the end. As a side note, I do not having a singing voice! I also noticed both Dan + Shay looking around at the crowd, taking everything in!

I have been able to connect with and relate to the overall message of this song because it is all about being grateful and appreciative for what you have, not what someone else does. In addition, it talks about the little things in life that we should appreciate daily, with lines like in the chorus like," I can see the kids making little footsteps running down the hallway upstairs" and "I can see the dogs playing in the backyard through the kitchen window right there."

Stay tuned for a future post when I break down all of the song's lyrics, vocals, production, and more! I will also have plenty more posts with video and picture content from the concert last year!

Below is the video I took of "Bigger Houses" on March 14, 2024, courtesy of my Daily Daily Of Dan + Shay YouTube channel! Enjoy!
