Earlier today, country music duo Dan + Shay shared past memories at the Academy of Country Music Awards with an eclectic Instagram photo collage ahead of the 61st edition of the show tonight that will broadcast on Prime Video at 8 pm EDT/7 pm CDT.
From pictures of them on the red carpet with their significant others to the duo posing with their trophies after their four ACM Award wins over the years, and hanging out with fellow country artists Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, and Cody Johnson, and pop artist Nick Jonas, plus other special moments, the duo took their fans down memory lane with some of their favorite moments from the award show over the last 11 years. It was fun seeing memories from the early years as well as more current ones. You can view some of the incredible pictures in their post at the end of my post. "We've had ourselves some times at the @acmawards over the years," the duo started their caption. "Excited to be nominated again and performing tonight, this one will be really special."
With the exception of missing the show in 2024 because of extenuating circumstances, I have watched Dan + Shay on the red carpet at each show, witnessed their phenomenal, standing ovation performances, enjoyed their heartfelt speeches when they won awards, including in the Duo of the Year category multiple times, and smiling every time the camera showed them dancing/singing along to the performances in the audience!
I am very excited to see Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney debut their new single "Say So" in front of the audience and world at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight! And I am incredibly proud of them for receiving another consecutive nomination in the Duo of the Year category. Like I said in my post yesterday, win or lose, the duo will always be winners in my eyes!
