#ThrowbackThursday to when I bought Dan + Shay's third self-titled album and had my picture taken with it

When Dan + Shay released their first three studio albums, it was a tradition for me to buy a physical copy of each one at the store. I downloaded the digital version of each one on iTunes so I would have a way to listen to them at midnight the day they were released, but wanted to make sure I had a physical copy of each project because their music means the absolute world to me. I think that I bought the self-titled album on release day, but I think it took me some time to get to the store to purchase their Where It All Began and Obsessed albums. 

#ThrowbackThursday to June 22, 2018 when I went out to lunch with one of my closest friends and then stopped at the store to purchase a copy of Dan + Shay's third project. I had her take an obligatory picture of me with their new album! While you cannot see the full thing because my fleece was zipped up, I was wearing my Dan + Shay T-shirt from their 2014 Where It All Began Tour!

                                         

I have not had a chance to meet the duo in person since 2015, but if I get the opportunity to meet them at a concert this year (I hope it happens because it has been too long!), I want them to sign their second album Obsessed and the third album in my picture below. They were both incredibly kind and signed their first album for me during the post-show meet and greet in 2014.

For their fourth and fifth album releases Good Things and Bigger Houses), the duo offered packages on their website to buy a signed copy of the CD along with some other special items, which meant that I did not go to the store to buy an additional copy of each one. As long as they were signed, I was very happy!

I do miss going to the store and getting my hands on a physical copy of the album, so there is a possibility that I will purchase Dan + Shay's forthcoming sixth studio album at the store on release day or shortly thereafter!

I grew up listening to CD's and had a massive collection of them in the desk drawers in my bedroom. However, in the last few years, I went through my collection and donated the majority of them. Because Dan + Shay's music will always mean the world to me, so there was no question I was going to donate their albums. I have them displayed on a book shelf now. I kept a few of my other CD's from the past as well.

I am going to dust off one of my old CD players that I kept to play their new record when it comes out! While I wait for that, I will play their previous albums on it too. While I love streaming their music on Spotify now because it is very convenient, I miss the old days of listening to all of my music on a CD player! I cannot wait to get nostalgic and go back to those days soon!
