Dan + Shay Post Fiery, Swoon-Worthy Cover Of Maroon Five's Hit "She Will Be Loved"

If you have been following my recent blog posts, I have commented on several cover song videos that Dan + Shay posted over the last decade. This is when they perform another artists song and tailor it to their style, making it sound unique, not like the original version of the tune. Whether they covered a country artist or one from another genre, each one truly still blows my mind with how incredible they both sound together. With Dan Smyers on acoustic guitar and singing harmonies and Shay Mooney on lead vocals, both guys are a match made in heaven. I sincerely hope that one day in the future they release a full studio album of some of their favorite covers they have done over the years.

Because they have posted so many short cover clips (always leaving me wanting more), I forgot about some of them, including this one of "She Will Be Loved" by pop-rock band Maroon Five that they posted on social media and their YouTube channel on June 23, 2016. The duo sang the song's chorus and left me speechless listening to it for the first time in years tonight. I absolutely want a full studio version of this one to hear what they would sound like on the rest of the track! Based on how they sounded on the chorus, the rest of the During the chorus, you can really hear Smyers' beautiful harmonies very clearly backing up Mooney's powerful lead vocals, which included the falsetto side of his voice that is absolutely mesmerizing. Both guys were in sync the entire time and it ended on such a pretty note. While this performance was way too short, Dan + Shay made my jaw drop to the floor with how incredible they sounded early on in their careers.

Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon Five also sings falsetto on this song and many other of the bands tunes. He and Mooney have that in common with their vocal abilities.
